Oxford-Cambridge Great Race Watch Party and Breakfast

Join Chicago Community Sculling for a breakfast viewing of THE classic showdown between two of England's most famous universities! The Oxford-Cambridge Race is an epic rowing event where teams battle it out on the River Thames in a test of skill, stamina, and team spirit. Whether you're a die-hard rowing fan or just looking for a fun day out, this event offers an opportunity to watch the races and LEARN more about Chicago Community Sculling.
Chicago Community Sculling supports 100% Free, Accessible, and Equitable rowing opportunities for Middle School youth in marginalized communities. We also provide mentoring, Summer camps, field trips, travel opportunities, and more.
Tickets for this event are donation based, starting at $25.00 per person to help us cover costs. Additional donations are GREATLY appreciated and all proceeds go to supporting programming at Chicago Community Sculling.
There will also be wonderful raffle prizes including an overnight stay on the St. Joe River including lunch and flight tasting for two and private rowing lesson.
Bank of America Half Marathon

CCS has become an official charity partner for the Bank of America Chicago Half Marathon on June 7, 2026! The race runs through the west side of Chicago, starting and finishing in Garfield Park, and coursing through Humboldt Park and Douglass Park, not far from Altus Academy. The Boat Race - Live Screening
Chicago Community Sculling (CCS) invites you to watch one of the most iconic rowing events in the world - the annual Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race. Enjoy brunch snacks, drinks, and surprise activities during the screening held at beautiful Guild Row, steps away from the Chicago River.
The event is free to attend but donations are welcome. All proceeds from the event will help Chicago Community Sculling fulfill its mission to provide sculling programs accessible to all including under served youth. Our program in partnership with Chicago Hope Academy is underway with big goals for new equipment, race fees, and coaching. This event is a chance to watch the historic race while building community and supporting a great cause!
