Chicago Community Sculling

Hello CCS supporters. We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out and supported CCS at our Cambridge-Oxford Race watch party event on Saturday, April 4th. Thirty rowing supporters gathered to eat breakfast, play some games, watch the races, and most importantly, support the CCS mission.

Beth Arthur, a rower with Recovery on Water (ROW) won the raffle prize. CONGRATULATIONS!  We can't wait for her and a guest to enjoy the two day trip to Michigan including an overnight stay, lunch & flight tasting at River St. Joe Brewery, AND a personal sculling lesson with our Board President, Fran Tuite.

At the end, the day was split: Oxford won the women's race, Cambridge won the men's, but each attendee won CCS hearts.

The proceeds for the event will be used to support upcoming Summer programming that starts in a few weeks. We can’t wait to get the kids back on the water.

Shout out to the Embassy Public House staff as well for their generosity of space, time, and support. We can't wait to do it again in 2027.
