USRowing awarded $100,000 in United We Row Grants to 15 organizations across the country that are expanding access to the sport through adaptive rowing, youth development, and community outreach. Four organizations were selected as Youth Power 20 recipients, receiving funding to support youth-focused initiatives that strengthen long-term participation and leadership opportunities within their communities. Chicago Community Sculling is so proud to be one of the four organizations selected as this year’s YOUTH POWER 20 recipients. Our grant proposal focused on funding our coaching needs, and we were awarded $5K toward that effort. The United We Row Initiative is a broader multi-year program dedicating $1 million from 2024 through 2028 to remove barriers to participation. Funding primarily supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits and current USRowing member organizations that focus on youth, adaptive and para-rowing, veterans, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and under-resourced communities.
